Reflection on finished shoe sculpture

I dont think that the finished product of my shoe was very good. The process of making my shoe looked just as i wanted my shoe to look like, but when i made the toungue for the shoe thats when it started looking bad. I tried to fix it by covering it in glue to give it the right texture and look. It did give the shoe the right texture but it completly ruind the colors of my shoe. so in the end i didnt really like how my shoe turned out at all.

-I do not have a picture of my shoe on the first class

Mitch, I personally found your shoe to be extremely accurate and well done. All the colors appeared to be very precise, and I was very impressed at all the materials you found to make the colors you needed. As you were working on it the shape also looked exactly like the shoe you were making. Although cardboard only goes on way, you created each piece so carefully that when placed together the shoe did not look like a box, but rather a real shoe. The most interesting detail was on the black part where you used the glue to melt the garbage bag. I wounder if instead of putting hot glue over the whole thing to achieve a glossy look you put a gloss over instead, which may have held the color better. Over all I think the shoe was very well done.

Mitch i personally am pretty jealous of your shoe. I think that you paid lots of attention to the shoe while you were working on it and made sure everything turned out perfect. I like just the different materials you used with just the garbage bags and just the way you made the shoe curve and look like an actual shoe. I think you did a good job overall i dont know if there is something i would do to change the shoe to make it better because its pretty accurate where it is now but yea good job.
